The scariest thing to ever happen to me. This is tough, does dreaming that I'm in the Amazon River trying to catch puppies as someone tosses them over a waterfall count? Because that was freakin' scary!

Probably being in the woods at night...alone...that's pretty scary. We were playing hide and seek. I hate hiding, b/c once I hide I'm too scared to move. :P

Hmm. This happened in... 6th grade, I THINK. I was at a sleepover and it was probably 3 AM and I looked up and saw some guy through the window walking across the yard. Both of her parents were in their bedroom and I know that for a fact, unless her dad jumped out of the window or something. It was definitely really creepy.

A scary story.. Well it's not so scary when I think back but when it happened it really was! I was about 8 or 9 back then and i was spending the day at my friend's house. We were alone at the her and there were strange noise comming from the basement. We were freaking scared! Now the funny thing.. we went to the kitchen to get some *weapons* jsut in case.. my friend picks a butcher knife and she gives me *drum rolls* a fork. She gave me a freaking fork to defend myself from potentially dangerous (in our kid minds) encounter.
Thankfully it was nothing, I still don't know what caused the noise but anyway, it was one hell of a story lol

Thanks for the giveaway!

The scariest thing that ever happened was one time at camp, I had to get up to go to the restroom, in the middle of the night, dark and alone. I grabbed my flashlight, but on the way to the restroom, it quit. I thought about turning around, but you know, I really had to go. So, I continued. When I got to the restroom, there was one florescent bulb hanging by the mirror and I went in, used the restroom, and found a raccoon waiting for me. Scared me so bad, it was a good thing I had already gone, would have wet my pants, for real. Screamed all the way back to my cabin. Still don't like raccoons.

I'll post this contest on twitter.

It's kind of shocking but there it goes:
Some guy got mad at how I was driving and blocked me, got out of his car and hit my window so hard he broke it. Then he opened my door expecting me to get out but I was frozen. People started gathering around, so he left. All this while having my six month old on the back seat crying. That was in Venezuela almost three years ago. That was the day I decided I would move here. I've been in the US for two years now.

Wow, mine seems kind of lame compared to that last comment!

One night I was getting into bed, without turning on the light because that wakes up my grumpy younger sister. I decided to make the bed so I used a flashlight to see what I was doing, when I saw something moving in my bed. It was a HUGE wood spider (I am terrified of spiders)... and I wouldn't have gotten into bed with it if I hadn't decided to make the bed... Eek!

+1 The scariest thing that ever happened was probably falling out of my tube in the rapids. I was like...10 or 11 and it scared the crap out of me. I was holding onto a rock crying and praying (which is funny, 'cause I'm not religious). Everything worked out though, obviously. (I was also in a car accident, but I was pretty level-headed for that.)

The scariest thing that ever happened to me was when my kids were little and were waiting in the van in the bank parking lot. I was only twenty feet away watching through the bank window. It was off and parked but the gears slipped and the van rolled backward down a hill. Luckily the wheels had been turned so it rolled safely into the yard. I couldn't move fast enough to catch it and it scared the crap out of me. I brought the kids inside with me to finish cashing my check but my hands were shaking too much to sign it. I never would have forgiven myself if they had been hurt.

The scariest thing that's ever happened to me, and I believe in ghosts, is believing that my house is haunted because, on certain nights, it sounds as though someone, meaning a person, it walking around in my attic. I know, I know, isn't is an animal? No, it's footsteps are heavier, definitely sounds like a person. So scary.

The scariest thing ... when I was in HS my best friend went camping with me and my family. Our cabin was away from everyone else's. One night all the kids got together and watched Candyman. In the middle of the night the other kids surrounded our cabin and rapped on the window and walls (to emulate Candyman). Scared us so bad, we were both hiding in the bathtub!

The scariest thing that has ever happened is definitely being chased around a playground in the middle of the night. Well, my friends and I probably shouldn't have been there hanging out (just swinging, and reminiscing on our younger days). Then these guys in trench coats pull up in their car, and shine their brights on us. Eventually they get out...and well we ran.

I was the only one downstairs so it really freaked me out! haha i don't think i slept for about 3 months after it happened

The scariest thing that has happened to me was when my Daughter was 5 years old. Her & I we out and about shopping in a Wal-mart store. I turn around and she is gone..I mean gone!! I look and look and I can't find her. As a Mother this REALLY is the SCARIEST thing that can happen to you. Well, after almost losing my mind. Someone calls on the store intercom and has found a little girl and to please come up to claim her. I never ran so fast in my life!!! I was crying and I was never so happy to see my small Daughter smiling and wondering why her Mommy was covered with tears and why her Mommy hugged her so hard!!! To this day I always keep a closer eye on her at ALL times & at now the age of 17 she sometimes gets tired of it. But I remind her that she is still my little 5 year old Daughter that almost got away!!

The scariest thing that ever happened to me was one time when I had to have surgery, and the anesthetic started making my eyeballs roll around uncontrollably in my head - it was awful and scarey and nauseating! YUK - it sounds funny now but I was about to freak out hahaha

But in terms of spooky scarey- This happened when I was just a kid and we lived in Fla, back in the mid 60's we went for a long old drive along the coast, out in the boonies, and our car got stuck. It took my dad 9 hours to walk the 18 MILES to the nearest home to get help, while my mom and I were all alone in the middle of nowhere (it was called mosquito lagoon). We had to roll up the car windows to keep the mosquitos out so we were not only scared, but also sweltering from the heat. I remember there were no lights anywhere and, since we both loved to watch the old black & white horror movies on tv, I got scared that a monster was going to get us! We were stuck there until about 4 a.m., and my dad's shirt and socks were SOAKED in blood from the swarms of mosquitos attacking him on his 18 mile trek!

As a kid, I had a nightmare about this guy following me as I walked home from my friend's house. The next spring, my friends and I went to the local fair and as we walked through the crowd, I saw the guy from my nightmare, wearing the same creepy vest walking towards us. I had to call for a ride home immediately; I was so freaked out.

Wow - Nothing really scary has ever happened to me. I guess I would have to say when my son was three he went outside with a small bag of chips in his hand, you know the lunch box size. The neighbors dog was loose and ran at him, Josh raised his arm so the dog would not get his chips and the dog bit into the soft skin under his arm. He would not let go and I had to pry his mouth open. Of course by then there was a crowd, with all the screaming. It was not long until animal control showed up and an ambulance, someone had called 911. I was not scared because it happened so fast, I was more mad. It was not until after we got home and things were oaky - after a few stiches that I got scared.

on my seventeenth birthday, myself and two other friends walked to 7-11 at night to get some hot chocolates. on the way back, a man in a car began following us. he drove along side us, slowly, and we saw that he was doing inappropriate things to himself while he watched us. we grew frantic and began to hide and cut down side streets, but he followed us. luckily, he had a noisy car, so we knew when he was coming. after all, he lost us and we made it back to my house, but we were so shaken. i don't ever walk anywhere at dark without one of my guy friends now.
